Size: 57,000 Square Feet
Job Story:
After a successful first phase, Global Wrap returned to complete the second and final phase of this major airport expansion project in Omaha, Nebraska. For Phase 2, our scope focused entirely on temporary construction walls, delivering reliable weather protection and providing a temporary dry-in environment to keep critical interior work moving forward through the winter.
This mobilization covered 57,000 square feet — more than double the size of Phase 1 — and required strategic coordination with multiple trades on-site. While no scaffolding wrap was needed this time, our team played a key support role throughout the project. As the job evolved, we reinstalled several of our system's attachment points to meet the changing needs of both the concrete subcontractor and the glass subcontractor.
Our installation used 12-mil FR heat shrink wrap, the construction industry’s strongest option for temporary weather protection. Despite high winds, snow, and freezing temperatures, our crew delivered a clean, secure enclosure that helped keep the project on schedule.
Global Wrap is proud to have supported both phases of this critical aviation project. Our team’s responsiveness, problem-solving, and high-performance materials helped ensure that construction stayed on the critical path — no matter the conditions.
