Global Wrap recently completed a large temporary construction wall project for a data center in LaGrange, Georgia.

The project had a significant amount of interior work underway while portions of the building envelope were still incomplete. With many large areas exposed to the weather, rainwater was leaking into the building and creating issues for interior trades, finished areas, valuable materials, and equipment that was already inside.

To help protect the interior, Global Wrap mobilized quickly and installed over 55,000 square feet of temporary construction walls using 12-mil fire-retardant shrink wrap. The scope included large wall sections, window openings, and roof penthouse enclosures.

This was a busy jobsite with multiple trades working throughout the area, so coordination and flexibility were critical to the success of the project. Our crew worked around active construction areas while leaving access openings in the plastic for the client.

Once installed, the temporary walls helped keep rain out and allowed interior work to continue while the permanent exterior materials were still being completed.
