Job Story:
Global Wrap recently had the privilege of performing a project in College Park, MD for a major construction contractor. The goal of this project was to protect a large timber staircase from the harsh winter elements.
To ensure protection of this staircase, our team installed our shrink wrap temporary construction walls on four floors of the building to keep winter weather. In addition to the temporary walls, our team engineered a temporary dome at the top level to seal off the opening above the staircase. To ensure proper water drainage, our crew utilized a cable system to create a slope, allowing runoff to flow away from the structure.
This project was completed in a busy, active jobsite requiring our team to work efficiently around other trades while dealing with freezing temperatures. While on-site, the client requested our crew to install our shrink wrap in additional areas, which our team accommodated seamlessly. We also installed zipper doors to provide easy man access while keeping the system fully functional.
Despite harsh weather and changing jobsite conditions, Global Wrap delivered a durable and effective weather protection solution for our client, keeping their valuable timber structure safe through the winter. For high-quality weather protection on your projects, contact Global Wrap today to learn how we can assist.
