Global Wrap® Shrink Wrapped the Roof Deck When the New Roof was Delayed or Damaged.
A distribution center roof was damaged by hail, allowing water to leak into the center and the products within. Global Wrap® shrink wrapped the entire roof deck, 64,000 sq. ft., in less than a week. This action let the drying out of the interior begin and the use of the building possible before the new roof could be installed. Some contractors, if approved by the architects and manufacturer of the roofing materials, can also use the shrink film as a vapor barrier.

The roof of the warehouse was compromised by hail and in order to dry the interior out, the roof had to be sealed off. The insurance carrier and the client agreed on the loss and the costs of the new roof.

Global Wrap® sealed the roof off quickly and gave the client and the carrier time to negotiate the settlement. The client was able to keep the lease in place.
