It was a horrible and frightening experience.

I was lucky that my outside adjuster knew about Global Wrap. My house was wrapped within weeks of my loss. My house was dry during the balance of the miami rainy season - this was like a miracle.

Next October 2005 came with the devistation of hurricane katrina. I'm not a religous man but i said every type of prayer i knew and had friends praying for me as well. I inventoried the house and assumed i would lose everything. Boy was i wrong!

Global Wrap did not even tear in 110 mph winds. The wrapping was not effected by the storm in anyway i could detect. It's nine months later, the wrapping is still intact!!!!!!!! It's a little bit freyed, but still in place. my prayers were answered. Thank you Tony.

As my roof still is not fixed, I contacted the company to ask what to do - I am lost and down on my knees again. The good people at Global Wrap are still there offering to help and standing beside their product.
This type of integrity and concern of a small customer is rare today. I come from a different time when integrity was a concern and a value shared by many.

Thank you and God bless you and Global Wrap.

Robert Rampil
Coral Gables, FL

Hurricane Wilma Repair

Recently, Robert Sharp and a crew of yours came to our house and made repairs on an installation that you had installed after Hurricane Wilma.

We are very pleased with the work that was done. It has not rained yet to give our roof wrap the ultimate test but we thought you ought to know how pleased we are with the way in which Robert and your crew carried out the repair work.

Robert Sharp is a very able representative for your company. He patiently listened to our statement of the problem. He then went on the roof, made his assessment and told us what he thought.

Next day, he and your crew returned as promised and did the work in an organized and purposeful manner. He explained the work that was done in a way that we could understand and appreciate it. Throughout, he was polite, personable and displayed intelligence rare for one so young as he. Also, it was interesting to us how he and your crew worked together as a team. They displayed a real professional manner guided by Robert’s leadership.

As a result of our experience, we will recommend your company to anyone who would be interested to know.

Joe and Pat Cook
Miami , FL

Another Satisfied Customer

I wanted to report the excellent job you did on my roof. Your crew was energetic, polite, and efficient. Two days after you installed the wrap your crew came back again to make sure the tarp was well fastened and secured. The exchange I had with the supervisor of the crew was very cordial yet speedy. I am very pleased with the work you did. Keep it up!
Sincerely,

Ervin Briones, Ph.D.

Hurricane Wilma Roof Wrap

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere appreciation for the services rendering during Hurricane Wilma that struck South Florida on October 24, 2005. It was early in the morning, during the storm, that I realized I was going to need some serious help in dealing with the damage to my roof.
After running around the house and catching as much water in buckets that I could, I placed a call to your toll free number. I was surprised to be speaking directly to your wife driving in Louisiana. She was very helpful in taking my number and assuring me, during a very difficult time, that your company would be there as soon as possible.

The next day I spoke with you and was told you would be there by the end of the week to cover my roof. You also indicated that you would call as soon as your crew was on its way. I was very concerned about getting my roof covered before it started to rain again. In the interim I worked with my son to repair the roof as much as possible.

True to your word, you called around 4:00 pm Friday the 28th to let me know the crew was on its way. They arrived at 4:30 pm and my roof was wrapped and ready in three hours! I can not tell you what a relief it was to get this done. Your crew was excellent in every respect. They were professional and polite and answered all of my questions. They did an excellent job and also helped secure many other homes in my neighborhood late into the night and the following days.

I want to thank everyone that I have come in contact with at Global Wrap. You should be very proud of your employee's and your dedication in making your company customer oriented. I know that everyone worked many hours around the clock to make this happen. It was a pleasure doing business with you and I would highly recommend your company to anyone.

Sincerely,

David Meade

Technology; Shrink Wrap Goes Really Big Time

By MICHAEL QUINT

Published: September 25, 1994

IT is the hurricane season, when an insurance agent's fretfulness turns to thoughts of roofless houses filling with rain.
For insurance companies, protecting storm-damaged homes from rain can save billions of dollars in additional claims for walls, floors and furnishings destroyed by water.

It is a powerful incentive that is now pushing insurers to make new arrangements for quick, temporary covering of storm-damaged homes, and even to adopt new technology and materials.

An entrepreneur who hopes to capitalize on the impulse is Anthony Seraphin, the 49-year-old president of Global Wrap and Services, a nine-month-old company based in Chalfont, Pa.

Mr. Seraphin, it seems, is a shrink-wrap specialist, having started out in 1981 wrapping small pleasure boats for winter storage.

He moved on to building small temporary shelters for storage or protection from the elements, and wrapping larger, more irregularly shaped objects like moth-balled military aircraft and new industrial equipment that needed protection in transit.

Now, in starting Global Wrap and Services, Mr. Seraphin wants to apply his techniques to wrapping houses -- from chimneys and dormer windows down to the foundation.

Rather than soliciting individual homeowners, he is trying to reach large numbers by arranging with their insurance companies to provide his services after natural disasters.

"For a while, I was getting nowhere with the insurance companies," Mr. Seraphin said. "But now, several are talking like they are real interested."

The first big contract could come in Florida, where the state insurance department is pushing companies to cooperate with one another and make advance arrangements with contractors to handle temporary repairs of any home damaged by a hurricane, regardless of the home owner's insurance company.

"Global Wrap could be the perfect kind of partner for us and could have responsibility for handling several neighborhoods," said Marty Urra, chief executive of Smart, a Miami disaster-services company selected by Florida officials to coordinate disaster responses of insurance companies, contractors and the Federal and local governments.

Although Mr. Seraphin's techniques cost more than the standard practices of boarding up windows and covering roofs with tarpaulins, Mr. Urra said the higher protection from wrapping a house could appeal to wealthier homeowners.

Because Mr. Seraphin uses sheets of plastic seven-thousandths of an inch thick, or four times the thickness or ordinary household trash bags, it is far stronger than the thinner plastic sheets typically sold in the neighborhood hardware store.

The thick plastic, which he buys in 32-foot-wide rolls from various suppliers, does not include recycled materials, which Mr. Seraphin says makes it less likely to tear or rip. Buckles and cables are used to attach the plastic to a home, and then a hand-held flame thrower is used to shrink the plastic wrap and make it as taut as a drum.

Insurance companies have long had contigency plans for disasters, with warehouses full of cots, stepladders and cellular phones, plus emergency procedures to summon hundreds of claims adjusters to a disaster scene.
