We invented the shrink wrap process to work and to work safely is up to management to instill into the worker, through the foreman and supervisor. We pride ourselves on safety and have walked away from unsafe six figure jobs, rather than jeopardize our workers, the customer and our insurance rating and policies. We know a dangerous scope of work when we see it, 30 years experience wouldn't let us do something unsafe. Unskilled laborers lack safety training and in disasters, they are all too often taken advantage of by many contractors, who pay them minimum wage, if that, to risk their lives nailing blue tarps on damaged roofs. Blue tarps might be a band-aid, but most times they do more damage and disintegrate in the sun. Think about all the boards nailed through the good shingles, or destroying more tiles. Think about the installation safety factor of what you see to the right, you insurer should. Think about the little known fact that over $129,000,000.00 was spent on tarps from China after Katrina and some contractors were paid by us, the taxpayer over $12 million and some much more to nail them on.

Tarps Are Dangerous And Ineffective
When the tarps fail, the file is reopened and the loss continues to grow, but what about the fact that many times the tarp is slung over an opening in the roof, as pictured, is this dangerous and is this a lawyers delight?
When someone tells you they can do what Global Wrap® does, ask them how long they have been in business. Ask them if the images on their website are jobs they actually completed or did they borrow images from someone else to confuse and deceive the viewer, and then ask them for their insurance. The failure to the right is probably still in litigation, since it took a wall of scaffolding down with it and damaged a building across the street.
