Global Wrap® Goals In Recycling

shrin wrap recycling, recycling shrink wrap, recycle shrink wrap
Our World, Our Responsibility

Our Logo is Red,
but Global Wrap® is Greensm

Global Wrap® is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.

Global Wrap® is proactive and has always been that way. Give us the containment problem, and we'll give you the solution.  We feel strongly about recycling the materials we use. We strive to get recyclers to take our materials when the containment is taken down.  Our 12 mil shrink film is recyclable, we use this material on exterior containments and interior temporary walls for concrete pours.

Global Wrap®'s Goal: 2012
Our 6 mil reinforced poly is not recyclable at present.  Global Wrap® is working with the plastics industry to develop a use for the 6 mil reinforced. It took Anthony Seraphin four years to get the boat wrap recyclable, after he and his father-in-law, James Talbot, started the first boat shrink wrap company in 1980.

Everyone is responsible for the future of the earth, our home.  Global Wrap® has a program for recycling our exterior containment materials, in fact the client can take down the containment and bag it for recycling, or contract with Global Wrap® to take it down, bag it and send it to the recycling company.  My 31 years in plastics and containments shows me that if you invent something and take it to market, you can have a recycling program. I look forward to the near future recycling program for our interior protection materials. We feel that the benefits of recycling far out weigh the impact on our environment caused by land fills and the costs are in most cases acceptable to the client.  Please consider our recycling goals, we owe it to our grandchildren.

President

Global Wrap Shrink Film

Global Wrap®  shrink film is made of the highest grade resins on the market and therefore is in demand for recycling into lower grades of film sheeting.  We offer a recycling program and encourage clients to entertain the small added costs of recycling the film.  One way or another the client pays to dispose of the containment and we here at Global Wrap® encourage the expenditure be spent on the recycling program rather than the dumpsters and land fills. If the containment is contaminated with particulates from asbestos or lead, another procedure for disposal is called for by the EPA and OSHA.

Program

The shrinkwrap recycling kit for use in the Continental U.S.  Kit consists of a 30" x 50" clear bag with, a closure device for the bag and a prepaid UPS shipping label.  Each REBAG will hold approximately 600 square feet.

Example of 25,000 sq.ft. of Global Wrap = 42 Bags X $22 a Bag = $924.00

What financial benefits to my project is recycling ?
What does the public think of a project that recycles ?
