When a museum in New York City was demolishing a building, the GC had a nightmare of calls from residents around the museum looking down on the demo site and seeing tarps blowing around during the asbestos removal. Global Wrap® was called in and designed a scaffolding dome that became a tight white dome and the calls stopped. Shrink Wrap Scaffolding was born. Temporary enclosures are what we are known for.
| The City of Baltimore Waste Water Treatment Plant holding tank needed interior resurfacing with temperature sensitive coatings. Tarps failed and finally the GC told the contractor to come up with another idea, so they called Global Wrap®. We designed the scaffolding system, complete with our innovative truss system, spanning over 80'. Shrink wraping scaffolding and domes was born.
| This was the dirtiest job we had done to date. They needed to abate the asbestos, but couldn't figure out how to build a shell around the project. The plant produced a fine grit that covered the containment as we installed it, meaning we were working with respirators and cleaning cloths to clean the surface for sealing the film together. Global Wrap® worked with a consultant and together designed the containment. A True Class 1 Containment.
