Army Corps of Engineers Lake Okeechobee, Everglades Locks
Over the years Global Wrap has worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in many areas of the country, including Fairbanks, Alaska, but this project was one of the most interesting since we had to be aware of the alligators in the water around the crew. Our job was to install a Class 1 Environmental Containment for lead abatement. Working with the contractor to do the shrink wrap containment, entailed the lock opening and closing and the drainage of the water. The tempertures were ranging from 98 degrees to 100 and it rained every day, causing a continual stoppage of work, but we finished the first phase in three days. Judith Seraphin and Benny Blankenship supervised the project.
